Welcome to Finance Track, a personal finance management app designed to help you track your income, expenses, generate PDF reports, and perform local data analysis—all without requiring an internet connection. At Finance Track, we prioritize your privacy and data security. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information in a transparent manner. By using Finance Track, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Finance Track is built to operate entirely offline, with all data stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or access any personal information from you or about you.

• User-Generated Data: When you record income, expenses, or other financial entries, this information is stored solely on your device in a secure, encrypted local database. Examples include transaction details (e.g., amount, category, date, notes), custom categories, and analysis results.
• No Personal Identifiers: We do not request, store, or process identifiers like your name, email address, phone number, device ID, or location data.
• App Usage Data: No analytics, crash reports, or usage logs are collected or sent to any servers. All operations happen locally.

Since the app requires no internet access, no data is ever uploaded, synced, or shared with third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used exclusively for the core functionality of Finance Track:

• Recording and categorizing income and expenses.
• Generating PDF exports for reports (e.g., monthly summaries, charts).
• Performing local analysis, such as budgeting insights, trends, and visualizations.

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose beyond enabling these offline features.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any of your data to third parties.

• All processing occurs on your device.
• PDF downloads are generated locally and saved to your device's file system—no external services are involved.
• In the event of a device backup or transfer (e.g., via iCloud or Google Drive), this is managed by your device/OS settings, not by Finance Track.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage Only: Your financial data is encrypted and stored in a secure, app-specific database on your device. We use industry-standard encryption (e.g., AES-256 where supported by the platform) to protect against unauthorized access.
• No Cloud Sync: Finance Track does not support or enable cloud backups or syncing to prevent any risk of data exposure.
• Device Security: The security of your data depends on your device's protections (e.g., passcode, biometric locks). We recommend keeping your device updated and secure.
• Data Retention: Data is retained indefinitely until you delete it manually via the app's delete/clear functions or uninstall the app.

5. Your Rights and Choices

As the sole controller of your data, you have full control:

• Access and Edit: View, edit, or delete any entry at any time within the app.
• Export and Delete: Export reports as PDFs or delete all data to start fresh.
• Uninstall: Removing the app erases all local data.
• No Opt-Out Needed: Since we collect no data, there are no opt-outs for tracking or sharing.

6. Children's Privacy

Finance Track is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect app improvements or legal requirements. Changes will be posted within the app, with the new effective date at the top. Continued use of Finance Track after changes constitutes acceptance.
